Great small business. Had a fresh-made philly cheese that was awesome. They even had special seasoning in the fries to zaz em up. Will be back regularly to try out their menu, including Rooka Kitchen, their Egyptian Food offerings! Thanks!

Hands down the best sub shop in Clayton! St. George’s Subs is a hidden gem that absolutely delivers on flavor, quality, and service. Every time I stop in, I’m greeted with a warm smile and friendly atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The subs are packed with fresh ingredients, piled high, and toasted to perfection. Whether you’re craving a classic Italian, a Philly cheesesteak, or one of their signature creations, you honestly can’t go wrong. What really sets St. George’s apart is their attention to detail—fresh-baked bread, quality meats and cheeses, and a perfect balance of sauces and toppings. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and you can tell they truly care about what they serve. Support local and treat yourself—you won’t find better subs anywhere in Johnston County. This is really starting to be my go to weeknight place. The menu has a lot of variety. Ill get lamb gyro with a side of southern fried okra and a tropical smoothie. Or a chicken Philly with grape leaves and backalava. We like to order online before we leave the house. Then its ready when we get there and we usually eat it there. Makes it some of the quickest food around. You can also get decently healthy salads. We have plans to branch out to the meals like lasagna eventually. This place feels like a nyc deli that has a little bit of everything the owner likes to eat. I like to support local so I wanted to recommend this place. Especially for weeknight dinner.

The gyros are delicious! The Philly cheesesteaks are delicious! But y’all… the CAKES ARE TO DIE FOR!!! I couldn’t stop eating it before I thought “this deserves 5 stars and I need to grab at least one shot if these layers!” So here I am, full as hell, but ready to go back for more 😋 I got a tuxedo cake (almost gone in the pic) and a dark chocolate cake (whole slice)

Love the subs. They use halal meat and will clean the grill on requests as well. Love the food. They should register their restaurant on Zabihah application.

I just ordered a cheesesteak to be delivered and I haven’t ever ordered from you before. I do not usually do reviews but I HAD to this time. That was the best cheesesteak I’ve ever had in my life! Thank you so much! I’ll definitely be ordering again soon!

I recently visited St. George Subs & Grill for the first time, (put in a mobile order to dine in and I have to say, I was really impressed! I ordered the steak and cheese sub, and it was absolutely fantastic—hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. The mozzarella sticks were also really good, perfectly crispy and delicious. The staff here is super friendly, which made the experience even better. One standout moment was when a gentleman came out to personally check on how the food was. It’s clear they take pride in both their food and customer service, which is a great touch. I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back to try more of their menu!

Truly a hidden gem, this place has such a diverse menu and such fresh products. I had a hoagie with roast beef and provolone horseradish it was so delicious. They bake their bread fresh daily the fries are also on point.
